EXTENSION IN DUE DATE FOR ELECTRONIC FILING OF SALES TAX-CUM-FEDERAL EXCISE RETURN FOR THE TAX PERIOD APRIL 2008 BY PERSONS REGISTERED IN LTU, Karachi. The taxpayers registered with Large Taxpayers Unit, Karachi, are now required to file returns through FBR’s e-portal and the previous system of filing returns through Banxis has been discontinued. Because of difficulties anticipated in transition from e-filing on Banxis to e-filing on FBR’s e-portal, the Federal Board of Revenue, through ST Circular 03/2008 has extended the due date for electronic filing of sales tax-cum-federal excise return and invoice summary statements for the tax period April 2008 from 15th May to 20th May, 2008, for registered persons falling in the jurisdiction of Large Taxpayers Unit, Karachi. -Sd- (Hameed Memon) Secretary ST-L&P FBR |
